We deliver refrigerated and freezer trailers all over DeKalb County, including Dunwoody, Tucker, Clarkston, Lithonia and Stonecrest. One health office covers the whole county, but the event permit you need depends on where your site sits. Here’s how to plan around both.
Wherever you are in the county, we bring the trailer to you and pick it up when you’re done. Towns with their own page are linked.

Temporary food permits for the county run through DeKalb Public Health’s Environmental Health office on Winn Way. Selling food at a fair or festival takes one of these permits, and the department asks organizers to make contact at least 30 days before the event. Vendors file their own applications on the same 30-day clock.
Two details are easy to miss. A temporary operation can’t run more than 14 consecutive days, so ask the office early if your market goes longer. And the vendor application asks for a booth sketch and where your food and ice come from, so settle your cold storage before you fill it out. Our guide to keeping food cold at outdoor events can help you work out how much you’ll need.
A public event on county property, meaning a park, a street or a community center, needs a Special Event Request at least 30 days out. The packet includes a site and layout plan and a certificate of insurance, and a committee reviews it. A pavilion booking with more than 100 guests goes through the same request. The parks department’s rentals page walks through the steps. Draw the trailer on your layout so the committee sees it from the start.
City sites are a different conversation. Brookhaven and Decatur each want far more notice than the county does, and other DeKalb cities may have rules of their own, so call city hall before you lock in a date.
The stretch of Buford Highway through Brookhaven, Chamblee and Doraville is lined with immigrant-owned restaurants and grocery stores, many of them sharing strip mall space. When a walk-in or freezer goes down in a place like that, a trailer near your back door holds the stock while the repair gets done. Every trailer can refrigerate or freeze, so a grocer with frozen product can keep it frozen. Rental length is flexible, so you keep the trailer until the repair is finished.
A shared lot is the first thing to sort out. Ask the property manager where a trailer can sit, then text a photo of the spot to (404) 418-8290. Level ground and a clear path for the truck are the two big things, and we’ll sort out power with you before delivery. Our walk-in failure checklist covers what to do in the meantime.
