Walk-in cooler down? Keep your kitchen running.

When a walk-in fails, every hour counts. We bring a refrigerated trailer to your back door so your inventory stays cold while the repair gets done, then pick it up when your cooler is back.

  • Delivered & picked up
  • Refrigerate or freeze
  • Flexible rental length
  • Talk to a real person

What to do in the first hour

  1. Keep the doors shut. A closed box holds its cold far longer than one being opened every few minutes.
  2. Check and write down temperatures. Use a probe thermometer on a few products and note the time. Your health inspector and insurer will want that log.
  3. Call (404) 418-8290. Tell us the address, roughly how much product you have and whether any of it is frozen.
  4. Call your refrigeration tech. Knowing how long the repair will take tells us how long you’ll need the trailer.
  5. Move the most valuable, most perishable items first once the trailer is cold: proteins, dairy, prepped items.

Food that has sat at 40°F or warmer for two hours or more should be thrown out, according to Ready.gov. Getting cold storage on site quickly is what saves the inventory.

Built for a busy back door

The trailer parks where your staff can reach it, usually beside the kitchen entrance or loading area. Set it up like your walk-in, shelf by shelf, so the line knows where everything is. Need frozen and chilled at the same time? Every trailer can run as a refrigerator or a freezer; tell us what you need when you call.

Keep it as long as the repair takes

Rental length is flexible: a few days for a quick fix, a few weeks for a remodel. When your cooler is back and holding temperature, call us and we’ll pick the trailer up.

“Our walk-in went down on a Friday afternoon and Fridge on Wheels had a trailer at our restaurant within a few hours. Easy process and exactly what we needed.”

Questions we hear a lot

How fast can you get a trailer to my restaurant?

Call (404) 418-8290 and we’ll check what’s available right now. We know a down cooler can’t wait, so for emergencies calling is faster than the form.

Can the trailer be a freezer?

Yes. Every trailer can run as a refrigerator or a freezer. Tell us whether you’re storing chilled or frozen product.

Where does the trailer go?

Anywhere level that our truck can reach and your staff can get to easily: a parking space, loading area or side lot. We’ll talk through your spot before delivery.

How long can I keep it?

As long as you need it. Rental length is flexible, from a short repair window to a full remodel.

Do you deliver to my area?
