Savannah, Georgia · Chatham County
Savannah is a little over four hours from our base in Sandy Springs, so a trailer here works best as part of a plan: a wedding weekend, the St. Patrick’s Day rush, a kitchen remodel, a hurricane-season backup. We deliver a refrigerated or freezer trailer to your address and pick it up when you’re done. If your walk-in has already quit, call us and we’ll tell you what’s available.
Tell us the address, and we bring the trailer to your business, venue, community center or home, then come back for it when you’re done.

Outside town? We cover all of Chatham County, plus every county in Georgia and the counties along the Georgia line.
Sort this out first if your address is downtown. City code requires a Dumpster/Container Permit to place a trailer on public property when it takes up parking spaces or other public areas, and Traffic Engineering and other city departments have to approve it first. That rule covers public property, so a private lot or a spot your landlord controls is the simpler place to start.
Once you have a spot in mind, text a photo to (404) 418-8290. We need a level place our truck can reach, close to where you’ll be loading, and we’ll talk through power before delivery.
Chairs, aisle runners, tents or tables in a square or city park usually mean you need a permit, even for a small ceremony, and the city’s special events office stops taking applications 90 days before the date. Fewer than 50 people with no setup can go ahead without one. The city lists March through May and September through November as peak months, so start earlier for those dates.
Food runs on its own clock across Chatham County. The health district wants an event organizer’s application at least 30 days ahead and each vendor’s at least two weeks ahead. Book the trailer when you book the caterer, and have it delivered the day before so it’s cold when the food shows up.
For the 2026 festival, anyone selling food on private property inside the festival zone had to get a temporary food application to Chatham County Environmental Health by February 27. They also needed city zoning approval and a Business Tax Certificate. Watch for the health district’s notice each winter, because that paperwork comes well ahead of the crowd.
If you’re stocking up for the week, a trailer out back holds the extra kegs, ice and prepped food and leaves your walk-in clear for the line. Reserve it when you start your paperwork, and plan on having it in place before the crowds arrive.
After an evacuation, you may not get back to your business right away. Georgia’s re-entry process has five phases, and Chatham Emergency Management lists business owners in Phase 4. Earlier access for businesses goes through the state emergency agency, so ask about it before the season starts.
Decide now where a trailer would sit and how it would get power, since it runs on a generator or site power. With a drive of more than four hours, call us as soon as a storm is forecast. Our hurricane prep guide covers the rest.

Book it when you apply for the permit, which the city accepts up to a year ahead and no later than 90 days before the event. Plan on a spot near the square rather than in it, and ask the special events office what your permit allows.

The city’s office handles city property only, so private property and the rest of Chatham County fall outside it. Ask that town or the county what applies. The health district’s food deadlines cover all of Chatham County.
Yes. Every one of our trailers can run as a refrigerator or a freezer. Tell us what you’re storing.
