Rockdale County’s code treats a festival, block party or similar gathering on private property as a special event when it affects public streets through closures, unlawful parking or blocked access. So a big gathering on your own land can need a permit once the cars spill onto the road. Applications go to Planning & Development at least 30 days before the event, and that office answers questions about exemptions. Inside Conyers city limits, ask the city what it requires too.
Food runs on its own 30-day clock. The GNR Public Health vendor application, which covers Rockdale, must reach the health department at least 30 days ahead, and a temporary permit is good for up to 14 consecutive days. File both in the same week, with the trailer on that same list. Delivery the day before gives it time to get cold.
The Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers has an exclusive caterer, Proof of the Pudding, so talk to the park before you plan outside food service or a trailer for a booking there.
The Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival, next on March 20 and 21, 2027, adds vendor rules worth reading closely. Food vendors’ menus need that same company’s approval, ice has to be bought through it, electricity is a paid hookup and gas-powered generators are strictly prohibited. A 10×10 booth has no room for a trailer anyway. The cleaner plan for a festival vendor is a trailer at your own kitchen or shop, where backup stock stays cold and you can restock between festival days. See how caterers use a trailer.
For a restaurant near I-20, a walk-in failure means finding a spot behind the building that the property manager will approve. Ask now, while the cooler is holding temperature. When it does quit, we bring a trailer to your back door and you keep it as long as the repair takes.
Away from the interstate, in the neighborhoods and on larger lots, the questions change to gates, slopes and where the power comes from. A trailer runs on site power or a generator, and we need a level spot our truck can reach. Send a photo to (404) 418-8290 and we’ll look at it with you.

It can, if the event affects public streets, parking or access. Planning & Development answers exemption questions, and applications are due at least 30 days before the event.
Festival rules strictly prohibit gas-powered generators, and electricity is a paid hookup. A trailer at your own kitchen, on site power, is the simpler setup for keeping backup stock cold.
