Getting your site ready for a refrigerated trailer

Quick answer

A refrigerated trailer needs a level spot our truck can reach, close to where you’ll load it, and a source of power. Tell us about your spot, the road in and your power when you book, and we’ll confirm everything before delivery day.

Before delivery day

  1. Pick a level spot. Pavement, gravel or firm ground. Avoid low areas that hold water after rain.
  2. Check access. Our truck has to back the trailer in. Watch for low branches, tight gates, soft lawns and parked cars.
  3. Think about the walk. Put the trailer where your staff, caterer or volunteers will be loading it: near the kitchen door, tent or dock.
  4. Plan the power. The trailer runs on electricity. Tell us what’s available at your site, or whether you’ll use a generator, and we’ll confirm what’s needed.
  5. Clear it with your venue or landlord if the property isn’t yours.

On delivery day

Drop-offs happen between 8 AM – 6 PM. Have someone on site who knows where the trailer should go. Give it time to get cold before you load it, which is why we recommend delivery the day before an event.

When you’re done

Empty the trailer, and call us to schedule pick-up. That’s it.

Questions we hear a lot

Does the trailer need power?

Yes. It runs on electricity from your site or a generator. We’ll confirm what your site needs before delivery.

Can it go on grass?

Firm, level ground can work. Soft or wet lawns can be a problem for the truck. Tell us about the spot and we’ll advise.

How early should it arrive before an event?

We recommend the day before, so it’s cold and ready to stock.
