Refrigerated Trailer Rental in Lawrenceville, GA

Downtown Lawrenceville has two landlords. The city books the Lawrenceville Lawn and Bicentennial Plaza, and Gwinnett County books the Historic Courthouse, so it pays to know which one holds your date. Either way, we bring the refrigerated or freezer trailer to your site and pick it up when you’re done.

The Lawn and the Courthouse book through different offices

To use the Lawrenceville Lawn or Bicentennial Plaza, you apply to the city. The city’s FAQ says the Special Event Application has to be in no less than 90 days before your date to be considered, and its policy also covers parade permits and road closures. That application doesn’t reserve the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, which you book through the county at (770) 822-5450.

Bring up the trailer in the same conversation. Whoever holds your date will want to know where it’s going, and that decides how far your staff walks to reach it. If anyone is selling food, they’ll also need a temporary permit from Gwinnett Environmental Health, whose office is right here on Grayson Highway. Those applications are due 30 days out.

A courthouse reception can outgrow the prep kitchen

The Historic Courthouse hosts indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions, with a gazebo, manicured grounds and a renovated caterers’ prep kitchen. That kitchen gives your caterer a place to plate. A big reception’s drinks, desserts, flowers and trays can still take more cold space than it has.

A trailer delivered the day before has time to get cold and lets your caterer stock it early. Ask the courthouse staff where one can go. If the grounds don’t work, it can sit at your caterer’s kitchen and the food can ride over when it’s time. Our wedding cold storage checklist walks through the rest.

Downtown kitchens plan around the city’s free event season

The city’s 2026 spring and summer season listed more than a dozen free events, including The Lawrenceville Boogie on the Downtown Square in April, DTL CON-Quest in May, LIVE in the DTL concerts on the Lawn and the Prelude to the Fourth fireworks celebration. Around the World in the DTL followed in September. Those are the dates that can push a downtown restaurant past what its walk-in holds. Rental length is flexible, so a trailer can cover one big weekend or a whole stretch of them.

If an outage is your problem, the city runs its own electric service, so ask Lawrenceville Utilities how long you’ll be down and we’ll plan the rental around that answer. A trailer runs on site power or a generator, so call or text (404) 418-8290 and we’ll talk through power and a level spot our truck can reach before delivery.

Refrigerated trailer rental in Lawrenceville: FAQ

How early do I apply to hold an event on the Lawrenceville Lawn?

The city wants the Special Event Application no less than 90 days before your date. Reserve the trailer around the same time so it’s part of your plan from the start.

Does the city’s application cover the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse?

It doesn’t. Courthouse rentals go through Gwinnett County at (770) 822-5450, and that’s also who to ask about trailer placement.

Will road closures get in the way of a downtown delivery?

They can, so tell us your event date when you call. The city announces event road closures on social media ahead of time, and our drop-offs and pick-ups happen between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Can I rent a freezer trailer in Lawrenceville?

Yes. Every one of our trailers can run as a refrigerator or a freezer. Tell us what you’re storing.
